Vice President, Asset and Property Management
Leonard Way performs two distinct roles for The Beach Company: Oversight for all property management operations, as well as asset management and equity evaluation for all income-earning properties.
A Charleston area native, Leonard Way began his career as a financial analyst for NationsBank after graduating from Georgetown University. In 1997 he changed roles and became a commercial relationship manager, representing a loan portfolio of $25 million. He joined The Beach Company in 1998, after earning a Master of Science degree in Real Estate from Georgia State.
A member of the Leadership Charleston Class of 2000, and a 2004 recipient of Charleston Regional Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” for his professional success and community involvement, Leonard Way has also held several not-for-profit Board positions including the YMCA of Greater Charleston from 2001-2007, and Junior Achievement of Coastal South Carolina from 2001-2006.
Leonard Way enjoys “bringing asset management skills to bear while evaluating opportunities for long-term potential, and navigating the complexities of turning The Beach Company’s initial vision into reality at the ground level.” A recent example of his involvement in keeping long-term projects vital is the redevelopment from a Red and White Market on Isle of Palms into a state-of-the-art Harris Teeter Supermarket.
