The Beach Company recently donated scholarship funds to Greenville Technical College to support students studying real estate, project management and construction through the college’s Quick Jobs with a Future program.

Dan Doyle, Senior Vice President of Development at The Beach Company, visited the college recently to pledge his support to students in this program. Last year, The Beach Company supported six students with half scholarships and is proud to help eight students achieve their goals this year with half scholarships. “The Beach Company has supported various grass roots organizations which provide valuable contributions to youth and education, arts and culture and other community based philanthropy in Greenville, but we are especially pleased to support Greenville Tech’s programs,” said Doyle. “Scholarships for technical education help to expand the local workforce and raise the standard of living, while also helping the city attract new businesses. It’s an investment with a far-reaching ripple effect.”

The Quick Jobs with a Future program allows working adults, or those in occupational transition, to obtain skills and certifications matching the needs of local business and industries by offering courses lasting up to three months to prepare students for specific jobs or skills.

“We are grateful to The Beach Company for growing the workforce by providing funds that help students connect with opportunities,” said Steve Hand, director of the Quick Jobs with a Future program. “Scholarships eliminate barriers for deserving people and help us create qualified employees.”
