Emily Aspinwall joined The Beach Company in 2020, bringing with her 10+ years of experience successfully managing audit and financial operations. Emily is detail-driven with a proven ability to mentor and develop strong teams and quickly adapt to changing environments.

Originally from Sumter, SC, Emily has spent the majority of her life living in Charleston. After receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degree in Accounting from College of Charleston, she began her career with Gamble, Givens and Moody as a Staff Accountant. In 2007, Emily joined Greystar, the largest national apartment management company, where she was employed for 13 years in various accounting positions.

As Senior Director, Emily led Greystar’s Corporate Accounting team, focused on consolidating the various lines of business for domestic and international operations. Throughout her time at Greystar, she was responsible for managing many aspects of accounting including financial reporting, reforecasting, budgeting, payroll accounting and treasury services.

In her new role as Vice President, Controller, and Treasurer, Emily is responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting for The Beach Company and its related entities, including corporate, fund, and property management financial reporting to all internal and external stakeholders.
