Prime retail tenants are soon coming to The Jasper, a new luxury 12-story mixed-use building located in Charleston’s iconic Harleston Village neighborhood. The building’s developer, The Beach Company, announced today the first four commercial tenants that will open their doors on the ground floor of The Jasper in spring 2022. Among its initial retailers are Baseline: A Sasser Studio, Form Charleston, Ashley Artisan Suites and Spa Azure.
After its successful pop-up location at Union Station in downtown Charleston, Baseline: A Sasser Studio will take permanent residence at The Jasper with a fitness studio spanning approximately 4,700 square feet. Baseline thoughtfully integrates strength, functional and resistance training with high-intensity interval training and cardio circuits by utilizing a sustainable training approach that evolves with each individual’s level of fitness. Using a four-to-one client-to-trainer ratio, Baseline’s elite team of personal trainers customizes each 50-minute workout to fit the needs of its members through private and team sessions.
Form Charleston, formerly Verus Pilates, will operate in a 1,700-square foot state-of-the-art fitness studio featuring megaformer machines, which facilitate total-body exercises to blend the body-sculpting principles of traditional Pilates with strength training and low-impact cardio.
Currently The Jasper’s largest retailer, Ashley Artisan Suites will offer 25 individual suites available for a variety of independent professionals, such as stylists, cosmetologists, artists, designers and other artisans.
“With the successful lease-up of The Jasper’s residential units complete, The Beach Company is focused on curating a mix of retail uses that will service not only our residents and office employees, but all of peninsular Charleston,” said Dan Doyle, COO of The Beach Company. “We will soon be announcing our first food and beverage providers, which will complement the building’s retail offerings.”
Mt. Pleasant-based Spa Azure will open its second Charleston-area location at The Jasper and will offer facial and body treatments, waxing, eyebrow and eyelash tinting and more. The spa is also a certified retailer of Biologique Recherche skincare products.
“The Jasper’s commercial tenants are pioneering an important part of Charleston’s architectural history,” said John Darby, CEO of The Beach Company. “We designed The Jasper to seamlessly blend the most desirable views on the peninsula with state-of-the-art amenities to set a new standard for luxury workspaces in Charleston, and we are thrilled to share it with the community.”
The Jasper includes 75,000 square feet of AAA-office space and 25,000 square feet of first-floor retail space with an enclosed parking garage. Positioned on more than four acres at the western gateway to Charleston’s historic district, the landmark project features stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Ashley and the Cooper rivers, the Charleston Harbor and the northeastern side of the historic peninsula with premium office space, luxury rental homes and premier dining and retail options.
