Kristine Schmitz knows the business of real estate. Since 2001, her experience has included a diverse cross section of the real estate industry in South Carolina, with oversight and management of new and established commercial and multifamily properties to include class A office, warehouse, retail POA, lease up and stabilized multifamily communities.

As the Director of Property Management at The Beach Company, Kristine’s portfolio includes more than one million square feet of commercial space and tenant relationships including Wells Fargo, Target, Nexsen Pruet, LS3P, The City of Charleston and Brooks Brothers.

Starting at The Beach Company in 2010 as a Property Manager for Sergeant Jasper Apartments, Kristine’s properties have expanded to include Majestic Square, Seaside Farms, Brookgreen Town Center, Victoria Center, and The Jasper, TBC’s headquarters located in the heart of the historic district of Charleston, SC. Her knowledge has extended beyond property management into risk management, insurance and development.

“You don’t work in a silo at The Beach Company,” says Kristine. “I’ve worked with construction, brokerage, marketing, asset management – it’s led to so many opportunities and I’ve learned so much about the business since starting here.

In addition to managing the day-to-day operations of the division, Kristine volunteers with Reading Partners every week, sharing her knowledge and experience with children that need reading support. She and her husband, Adam, and children Emma and Emmerson, reside in Mount Pleasant.
