“River Rock will play a large role in creating a pedestrian-friendly and vibrant area for locals and visitors to enjoy in the Riverfront district,” said Alan McMahon, Development Manager at The Beach Company.
The Gulf Stream team was recently chosen to complete comprehensive site and infrastructure construction and improvements as part of Summerville Medical Center’s $53-million, 30-bed expansion.
The team at Gulf Stream Construction, a Beach Company subsidiary and full-service general site contractor specializing in civil construction and infrastructure, is staying busy in 2019 with both new and existing contracts. Here are two transformative projects shaping the tri-county region.
Gulf Stream was selected in 2018 to provide site construction for the Cougar Point Clubhouse at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort. The addition of a clubhouse is part of a larger renovation that includes a 150-room beachfront hotel complex with restaurants and retail offerings. Located within Kiawah’s West Beach Village, the 28,000-square-foot clubhouse consists of a visually striking exterior with high-quality finishes and equally magnificent interiors. The clubhouse, which will overlook the 18th hole of Cougar Point, will include a pro shop, bar, restaurant, full-service kitchen, locker rooms and a covered porch that stretches along the entirety of the building. Gulf Stream is currently completing the comprehensive site and infrastructure construction and improvements for this project and is expected to be completed in August 2019.
In Summerville, S.C., the Gulf Stream team was recently chosen to complete comprehensive site and infrastructure construction and improvements as part of Summerville Medical Center’s $53-million, 30-bed expansion. The project is part of a larger effort to consolidate the women’s and children’s hospitals and is the largest undertaking in the hospital’s history. While Gulf Stream’s work is expected to be completed in September 2019, the overall expansion will be completed in late 2020.
