The Beach Company Announces a New Retail Tenant at The Foundry

The Beach Company and Crunkleton Commercial Real Estate announced a new tenant coming to The Foundry, a mixed-use community in Huntsville, Ala.

With 33 locations across the Southeast U.S., The Flying Biscuit Café will occupy 3,218 square feet at The Foundry’s retail space at 3806 Governors Drive. Open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Friday and Saturday evenings until 10 p.m., The Flying Biscuit Café is known for its Southern-inspired breakfast, brunch and comfort food menu, including its signature biscuits and gravy. “We are thrilled to be able to bring such a wonderful business to share with The Foundry and the local people of Huntsville. Choosing the location was an easy endeavor. Upon visiting The Foundry, we knew it had to be the home of the newest Flying Biscuit,” expressed owners Leah and Jeannie.

“The Foundry’s newest addition, The Flying Biscuit, adds an award winning all-day Southern comfort food dining option to The Foundry and The Range’s rapidly growing community,” says Bill Metzger, Director of Multifamily Asset Management at The Beach Company. “Coupled with the grand opening of Taziki’s, The Flying Biscuit will serve to enhance this community as a premier destination for the residents who live and work onsite and the greater Huntsville area.”

Construction on The Flying Biscuit is set to begin next month with an estimated opening in spring 2025.

Located at the gateway into West Huntsville, The Foundry is comprised of four residential buildings, offering 342 Class-A multifamily residences with studio, one- and two-bedroom floor plans and three townhome buildings encompassing 14 three-bedroom units, and approximately 9,900 square feet of commercial space.

The Foundry sits next to its sister property, The Range, a 49,229-square-foot Class-A commercial office building, and offers convenient access to downtown Huntsville, Campus 805, the medical district, Research Park and Redstone Arsenal, and STOVEHOUSE, Huntsville’s largest carefully curated work, eat, play, drink and event complex. Additionally, a Food City grocery store currently under construction and set to open in in March 2025, adding another amenity to the Stovehouse District.  All assets are thoughtfully connected via a 10-foot-wide pedestrian sidewalk that was recently completed, enhancing access and walkability for employees, residents and visitors.
