Ward McCarthy joined The Beach Company in 2022, bringing more than 12 years of industry experience. After graduating from the University of Georgia with a degree in Real Estate, Ward began his career at Berkshire Residential Investments. During his nine-year tenure at Berkshire, Ward was instrumental in helping the company expand their fund management business while overseeing the asset management functions for various funds and separate accounts. During this time, Ward obtained a graduate degree from the University of Georgia. In 2019, Ward joined AXA Investment Managers – Real Assets as a Fund Manager responsible for expanding the company’s US real estate footprint.

As the Director of Portfolio Management Manager, Ward will has operational oversight of day-to-day operations of Fund I and Fund II and will be charged with implementing and executing the business and investment strategies for BREF.
