After graduating with an accounting degree from the University of Maryland and a law degree from Catholic University of America, Mike Shelor held various positions, including Assistant Controller, over an eight-year period with Interstate General Company, LP, a publicly traded real estate firm. For the next eight years he was Controller for The Davis Corporation, a general contracting firm.

Mike Shelor relocated to South Carolina from Maryland in 1998 and served as Regional Controller for the Southeast and Atlantic Regions with Neff Rental, a publicly traded construction equipment rental firm, and he subsequently worked with Jim Livingston Enterprises, a private investor, as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Attorney.

In 2007 Mike joined the Beach company as Financial Reporting Manager and is responsible for reporting financial results to our banking partners, government agencies, shareholders and the like.
