JC joined The Beach Company in 2020 and currently serves as Vice President and Director of Operations, where he is responsible for managing multiple business divisions, including Property Management, Asset Management, Commercial Brokerage, Marketing, and Shareholder Relations. Additionally, JC facilitates the company’s Strategic Plan and the implementation of many key company and development goals. He brings a sharp eye for detail and a natural understanding of the real estate market to his work.

Prior to his current role, JC served as The Beach Company’s Development Manager, supervising multiple ground-up projects throughout the Southeast.  Before that, he spent five successful years as a commercial broker for Southeast Venture in Nashville, Tennessee. During his tenure there, he completed a diverse portfolio of transactions, including several development projects for The Beach Company, which assisted in expanding the Company’s multifamily footprint throughout Nashville, Chattanooga, and Huntsville.

JC has an undergraduate degree from The University of South Carolina and a Master’s in Business from The Citadel. Actively involved in his community, he serves on several boards, including the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce and East Cooper Community Outreach, to name a few. He is also a member of the Charleston Regional Development Alliance, Urban Land Institute, and the Citadel School of Business Coaching Program, among other organizations.

He lives in Charleston with his wife, Susannah, and their three sons, Charlie, Nelson, and Hopson.
