The Beach Company received two Multi-Housing News (MHN) Excellence Awards at MHN’s 17th Annual Celebration on November 30 in New York City. The Beach Company won Bronze for Best ESG Program and its downtown Charleston community, The Jasper, took home the Bronze for Best Operations.
“Through dedication to sustainable practices and responsible development, The Beach Company maintains an unwavering commitment to fostering positive impacts within every community in which we engage,” said John Darby, CEO of The Beach Company. “These awards recognize the remarkable efforts of both The Beach Company and the teams within our communities, specifically The Jasper, whose success lies largely within its onsite staff and the sense of community it has created.”
As one of the largest real estate firms in South Carolina, The Beach Company is active in more than 25 markets throughout the Southeastern U.S. For more than 78 years, The Beach Company has dedicated immense efforts toward conserving, impacting, revitalizing and sustaining the company’s impact on the environment and communities in which it develops.
One of The Beach Company’s most noteworthy projects, The Jasper, is a 12-story mixed-use building offering 219 rental residences in Charleston’s historic district in addition to AAA-office space and first-floor retail with an enclosed parking garage. When the Jasper first opened in 2021, the team’s goal was to provide new residents with a truly unique living experience. The Jasper was thoughtfully designed and developed to be more than a temporary rental residence; for some, it’s a forever home.
